Creating two distinct spaces within one harmonious room

Every home should support the way people live.

For this project, our clients wanted a room that could comfortably serve two purposes—a welcoming living room for everyday relaxation and a practical dining space for entertaining family and friends.

The challenge was to create two clearly defined areas without compromising the sense of openness or flow. Rather than dividing the room physically, we used thoughtful design to create subtle transitions that allowed each space to have its own identity while remaining beautifully connected.

Colour became one of our most powerful design tools.

The warmth of India Yellow created a cosy and inviting dining area, encouraging conversation and shared meals, while the rich depth of Vardo brought character and calm to the living space. Together, these complementary tones created a natural journey through the room, lifting the mood while enhancing the feeling of space.

Functionality was just as important as aesthetics.

A bespoke feature wall was designed to celebrate the clients’ artwork, giving treasured pieces a place to shine. A carefully chosen display cabinet provided elegant storage for dining essentials, ensuring the room remained practical as well as beautiful.

To complete the scheme, we sourced and reupholstered a vintage armchair, introducing a unique statement piece that subtly defines the two zones while adding warmth, texture and personality.

The result is a home that feels calm, welcoming and thoughtfully considered.

Every element has a purpose.

Every detail supports the way our clients live.

Because beautiful design isn’t simply about creating attractive spaces—it’s about creating homes that help people flourish.
